Backcountry ski huts in the Grand Tetons

Backcountry Ski Hut Tours in Jackson Hole

Simply put, our backcountry hut tours are the best way to ski and snowboard in the Teton backcountry.

A trip to one of our yurts is a real backcountry experience. At the end of the day, you don’t have to leave the mountains, get in a car and navigate traffic to get home. Instead, you can remain deep in the mountains, watch the sunset while sipping a warm beverage, marvel at the alpenglow with appetizers, and star gaze at night after a hearty and healthy dinner.  The next morning, awaken to the sunrise, step our your front door and click into your bindings to make your first untracked turns of the day.

With just 6 clients and two guides on a trip,  you are insured to  receive personalized attention and a small group experience.  Smaller groups mean more time to ski and more powder for each person!

The snow pack in the Tetons is deep and reliable even when precipitation is slight in other Rocky Mountain regions. Our average snowfall of 500 inches usually falls as dry, blower powder, making the skiing here world-renowned. We offer the following guided hut tours. For experienced backcountry skiers and riders, hut rentals are available for do-it-yourself trips. Learn more »

Compare our Steep and Deep Camp with other “camps” and “ski weeks” to see what a great value our backcountry trips are.  Guides, instruction, all meals, lodging and avalanche safety equipment are provided on our trips. Not all camps are created equal. Our “camps” take place in a warm cozy yurt with a woodstove where you can easily dry out your clothing and relax with a glass of wine. Camping does not get any better (or easier) than this!!
