A trip to one of our yurts is a real backcountry experience. At the end of the day, you don’t have to leave the mountains, get in a car and navigate traffic to get home. Instead, you can remain deep in the mountains, watch the sunset while sipping a warm beverage, marvel at the alpenglow with appetizers, and star gaze at night after a hearty and healthy dinner. The next morning, awaken to the sunrise, step our your front door and click into your bindings to make your first untracked turns of the day.
The snow pack in the Tetons is deep and reliable even when precipitation is slight in other Rocky Mountain regions. Join us for 4 days of skiing in the Teton backcountry when the snowpack is the deepest and the days are getting longer. Our first day’s ski adventure will be in Grand Teton National Park, where options include a descent of Mt. Albright or the Turkey Chute, both 3,000 feet of powdery bliss. On day two, we’ll depart for our Baldy Knoll Yurt. For three days and two nights, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the best backcountry ski lines in the area. Enjoy your slopeside lodging at 9,000 feet, take in the alpenglow sipping your favorite beverage and get ready to do it all again the next day. This is a high paced adventure so get ready to rack up some vert!

Spend five days and four nights skiing the fabulous terrain at our high mountain Plummer Yurt. Skiers will be dizzy with the amount of terrain surrounding this yurt. Terrain options include tree skiing, couloir descents, open bowls and long tours.
Trip includes five days of guided skiing, four nights of cozy yurt lodging, all meals for the entire duration, porters to carry in the food, and rental of avalanche safety gear. Since your ski day is not mandated by when the lifts open or close, you can experience skiing in soft light of the evening’s alpenglow well after the lifts have closed at the resorts. This is our classic Teton ski tour, combing powder skiing with mountain travel. This two-day trip traverses the Tetons from our Baldy Knoll Yurt to Grand Teton National Park on the east side of the range. Day 1 is spent traveling 5.5 miles with 2,200 feet of elevation gain to the Baldy Knoll Yurt. Once at the yurt, we will access the local bowls and glades for an afternoon of powder fun. On day two, we travel 7.5 miles to Grand Teton National Park with many options for ski descents back to the valley floor. A descent of Housetop Mountain can be made en route, with numerous aspects for a great turns, as well as other options for downhill descents throughout the tour, allowing skiers to rack up lots of vertical, views, and travel miles.

This outstanding Haute Route of the Tetons is our most popular winter ski traverse. Join us on this five-day winter camp and ski expedition from our Baldy Knoll Yurt, across the Tetons into Grand Teton National Park, ending with a spectacular ski out through Teton Canyon. Spend the first night of the trip in the yurt with downhill skiing options nearby. We’ll then traverse across the Tetons to Granite Canyon and tour north along the Death Canyon Shelf, to the head of Teton Canyon. Options include a layover day in Granite Canyon or near Death Canyon to downhill ski. Learn how to stay warm and comfortable while skiing through the beautiful Teton high country. Participants should be strong intermediate skiers in good physical condition with a sense of adventure.

This is one of our most popular trips. Spend six days skiing in the Teton backcountry based out of both our Baldy Knoll and Plummer Canyon yurts. On day one, we’ll ski in to the Plummer yurt and have two days to explore terrain around the yurt. On day three, we travel 5.5 miles with 2200′ of elevation gain and loss to the Baldy Knoll Yurt. Porters will carry food/supplies in so that you travel with a light day pack from Hut to Hut. You’ll then have three days to explore the great terrain at the Baldy yurt before the fun ski descent back to the valley floor.
