Baldy Knoll Hut can be accessed on a guided hut tour or hut rental bases.
Snowmachines are permitted to the hut.
Located at 8,800 feet, this is our highest and most remote hut. Access requires a 2,200 foot climb over 5.5 miles to the east-west ridge between Fox and Game Creek Canyons. Skiers will be amazed by the amount of ideal ski terrain surrounding this hut. Touring along the ridge will allow access to a myriad of north and south facing terrain, including gladed tree skiing, open bowls, chutes, cliffs and couloirs of both the middle and south forks of Game Creek. A spectacular traverse through the Tetons to Jackson Hole can be done from this hut over Housetop Peak (10,500″) For beginners, mellow slopes close to the yurt are easily accessible. The route in and out of the yurt is north facing and holds good snow late in the season.
WINTER RENTAL: December through April only
Snowmachine access is permitted
