Located at an elevation of 8,800′ with access to Grand Teton National Park, this yurt sits amid ideal terrain for backcountry skiing and riding. With proximity to open bowls, tree skiing, couloirs and numerous 10,000′ peaks, you can’t find a better location for a backcountry yurt!
Access
Access to the hut requires a 2,200′ climb over 5.5 miles to the east-west ridge between Fox Creek and Game Creek Canyons. Snowmachine access is permitted.
Terrain
You’ll be amazed by the amount of ideal ski terrain surrounding this yurt! Touring along the ridge will provide access to a myriad of north and south facing terrain, including gladed tree skiing, open bowls, chutes, cliffs and couloirs of both the middle and south forks of Game Creek. Experienced backcountry travelers can access a spectacular traverse through the Tetons to Jackson Hole from the yurt over Housetop Peak (10,500′). For beginners and intermediates, mellow slopes close to the yurt are easily accessible. The route in and out of the yurt is north facing and holds good snow late in the season.

This yurt sleeps eight people and has a maximum group size of eight.
