Teton Backcountry Guides offers backcountry skiing and snowboarding tours with the most variety of terrain on Teton Pass. From the high peaks of Mt. Taylor and Mt. Glory to the north, to the powder bowls and incredible sheltered trees to the south, we can always find great powder weeks after a storm! All of our day tours are private adventures (you and your own guide) and are catered to you and your group’s ability level.
Teton Pass offers the most easily accessible backcountry for all ability levels. From large open bowls and long ridges to superb tree skiing during storm cycles, Teton Pass offers something for everyone. For those new to the backcountry, a tour on the south side of Teton Pass into Edelweiss and Columbia Bowls provides an easy approach to powder filled slopes for your first backcountry turns with minimal amounts of climbing. Intermediate and advanced skiers can enjoy Mail Cabin Canyon and Mt. Glory while experts can climb and enjoy steep descents off Mt. Taylor. Teton Backcountry Guides can access the most terrain on Teton Pass, ensuring we will find slopes suited to your ability level and interest.

Edelweiss & Columbia Bowls Circuit
Ability level: beginner to intermediate

Starting from the top of Teton Pass at 8400′, this tour is catered to suit all ability levels. Many open bowls and tree runs lead to a descent into Columbia Creek drainage at 7,100′.
Mail Cabin Canyon
Ability level: intermediate to advanced
Specialized touring gear required
A bit more strenuous touring that gets you deeper into the backcountry leads to multiple 1,000 foot shots and world-class tree skiing, which will harbor great powder weeks after a storm.
Mt. Glory
Ability level: intermediate to advanced
Specialized touring gear recommended but not required
This is the Teton Pass iconic tour starting with a 1,600′ boot pack to the top of Mt. Glory 10,063′ where you gain access to abundant alpine bowls and chutes.
Mt. Taylor
Ability level: advanced to expert
Specialized touring gear required
This strenuous tour starts at 7,100′ and climbs to 10,352′. Participants should be in good physical condition and ready for a day of ski mountaineering.
Reservation/Cancellation Policy: A Visa or MC is required to confirm the tour. The card is processed when the tour is complete. Cancellations that occur in less than 48 hours notice are subject to full payment. If we cancel the tour due to poor conditions, extreme weather or avalanche danger, no fees are charged.
