Commissary Ridge Yurt

Located at 8,000 feet, Commissary Ridge Yurt offers the most spectacular views of the Grand, Middle and South Tetons and has abundant terrain for all abilities, from beginners to experts. Access to the northern Jedediah Smith Wilderness yields a cornucopia of backcountry runs.

Access

To access the yurt, you’ll gain 200 feet of elevation in the first 3 miles along an unplowed National Forest road in S. Leigh Canyon, then ascend 1,000 feet in the last mile to gain the ridge. Snowmachine access is permitted.

Terrain

Novices will appreciate the low elevation and ease of access, while the more experienced skiers will enjoy the 2,000 vertical feet of skiable terrain on the west face of  Beards Mountain. For advanced skiers, the north bowl of Beard’s offers an exciting descent and longer tour options to the summit of Little’s Peak (10,712′) and over to Green Mountain, which awards the adventurous wilderness skiers a myriad descent options.

Maximum Group Size

This yurt sleeps eight people and has a maximum group size of eight.

Rates

Weekends and Holidays: $655/night plus 3% user fee
Week Nights High Season: $588/night plus 3% user fee
Early Season Special : Jan. 5-30:  Weekdays only:  $500/night plus tax

Low season: (starting March 24): $500/night plus tax
