All hikes include a deli style lunch, and use of backpack and hiking poles.
Hiking trips are in the Targhee National Forest in the Jed Smith Wilderness Area (we do not operate in Grand Teton National Park) We suggest lodging in Jackson or Teton Village to be closest to our meeting location near Teton Pass. We have a myriad of hiking options for those lodging in Victor or Driggs, Idaho, where we can offer several different day hikes to bigger summits above 10,000 feet. The possibilities are endless for peak bagging and off the beaten path hiking tours with Teton Backcountry Guides!
We do not provide transportation. Please plan to meet your guide at the trailhead for an 8:30 am departure.

Beginner: Backcountry Hiking 101
Easy to Moderate
Are you new to hiking in the Tetons? Get your outdoor education started with Teton Backcountry Guides. We are experts at helping folks take their first steps into the backcountry. Plus, our mountain guides know how to pace the hiking properly so that you’ll exceed your expectations. Tour departs at 8:30 am and returns by 1 pm.
Rate: $395 plus 7% tax/fees for up to 3 persons; $125 each additional person

Are you ready to go deeper into the backcountry and bag your first peak? Join us for an advanced hike into the stunning southern Tetons. First, we’ll conquer a 2,000′ elevation gain over the course of three miles to reach a scenic divide at 9,197′. There you will find amazing views of the Grand Teton and the surrounding wilderness. We’ll continue uphill to 10,000′ and if weather and time permit, we’ll scramble over rocks (and possibly snow) to the summit at 10,352′. This full day tour departs at 8:30 am and returns by 3:30-4 pm.
Rate: $475 plus 7% tax/fees for a group of up to 3 persons; $150 each additional person

Advanced: Strenuous Tour
Strenuous
Looking to do a really long hike with great views over varied terrain? This 12-mile advanced hike includes over 3,000 feet of elevation gain to give you a great workout. We’ll climb to the summit of a 10,352′ peak (as described in the intermediate tour), then continue for another seven miles, eventually descending back to the valley floor at 6,800′ to a different trailhead. Bring your good stamina along with your sense of adventure for this one. Tour departs at 8:30 am and returns at 5 pm.
Rate: $575 plus 7% tax/fees for a group of up to 3 persons; $150 each additional person.

Cancellations/Refunds:
A Visa/MC is required to confirm the reservation. Cancellations that occur less than 24 hours from departure will be charged in full. If weather cancels the tour, no fees are charged. We try our best to work with each group to reschedule if weather is a factor.
