Literally leave the lifts behind and ski the backside and beyond! Backcountry tours begin outside the gates of Grand Targhee Resort. Easy skinning at 9,000 feet leads to a myriad of north-facing powder and south-facing corn. On a clear day, the backcountry skiing near Grand Targhee offers some of the best views of the Tetons anywhere in the range. All ski tours are private (you, your family or friends and a private guide) and catered to your ability level and interest.

All backcountry tours include rental of avalanche safety equipment.
Reservation/Cancellation Policy: A Visa or Mastercard is required to confirm the tour. The card is processed when the tour is complete. Cancellations that occur in less than 48 hours notice are subject to full payment. If we cancel the tour due to poor conditions, extreme weather or avalanche danger, no fees are charged.
